Welcome to the Swansea & Port Talbot Docks

Retired Staff Website.

This website is run by former employees of Associated British Ports at Swansea & Port Talbot who meet up once a month to visit sites of interest, or to engage in various activities such as bowls, golf or ten-pin bowling. This is usually followed by lunch and a few glasses of ale at a hostelry of our choice. Over the last few years we have held a Christmas Lunch at local venues such as the 'Ship Inn' and  the ‘Cape Horner’, and have been joined by existing docks personnel and many other retired members of staff.

Although first designed to document our group’s various activities and annual festive lunches, the website has now grown to incorporate many photographs and articles on the history, development and trade of the ports of Swansea and Port Talbot. All this information can be accessed from the menu buttons below, and we hope you will enjoy browsing through the various sections.
