Blaenavon Steelworks
Stop Press 2nd of July 2004
This month we visited the Iron Works at Blaenavon. The site is in the
process of restoration but considering how long ago it was
built it has survived very well. The quality of the
stonework is exceptional. We then had lunch at the
Rifleman’s Arms and yet again only two steaks were ordered
not because of choice but because the purveyor of fine meat
had not made his delivery. Fred Eliot was contacted but he
was unable to deliver in time. Below are some photographs of the Iron
